Climbing Hydrangea - 2 Gallon Container
The Climbing Hydrangea is a spectacular, large, deciduous vine cherished for its beautiful white summer flowers, attractive foliage and striking cinnamon-colored winter bark. It climbs by means of aerial rootlets that cling firmly to flat surfaces like brick, masonry or wood. It does not need a trellis, but needs a solid support. It produces large, flat, lacy, white flower clusters (lacecap style), often 8–10 inches across. The outer flowers are sterile and showy, surrounding the tiny fertile center flowers. Its foliage is dark green, and heart-shaped and turn a soft yellow-gold in the fall.
