Bloodstone Thrift forms neat, dense mounds of stiff, grass-like, dark green leaves (typically 6–8 inches tall and about 12 inches wide). It produces globe-shaped or pom-pom-like clusters of bright purplish-pink to deep pink (sometimes described as fuchsia or rosy-red) flowers on slender stalks that rise above the foliage. Blooms appear from mid-spring to early summer and can last a long time. It has a fine, delicate grassy texture and a mounded, clump-forming habit—great for creating tidy edges or low cushions.
