This variety has large, pendulous clusters of sweetly fragrant, pea-like bluish-purple blooms in spring (often late spring). It tends to bloom at a relatively young age compared to some other wisterias. Highly attractive to pollinators like bees and butterflies. The foliage is large, compound and dark green and turns yellowish in fall before dropping.
