In early to mid-spring, before the leaves emerge, the bare, weeping branches are completely covered in an abundance of pure white, single flowers. The blooms are so numerous that they create a beautiful, snowy waterfall effect, giving the tree its name. The leaves are a glossy, bright green in spring and summer. In the fall, they turn an attractive yellow to orange color, providing another season of interest.
