Redbird Indian Hawthorn
Redbird Indian Hawthorn
The redbird Indian Hawthorn forms a dense, upright and rounded shrub; slightly larger than the Georgia Petite. The highlight of Redbird is its color. New growth emerges a brilliant, eye-catching deep red to burgundy. The entire plant deepens to a rich dark purple-red when exposed to cold temperatures, providing excellent winter interest. Clusters of fragrant, pale pink to white flowers bloom in mid-spring. Small, dark berries follow the blooms, often persisting into winter.
