Snowcap Indian Hawthorn
Snowcap Indian Hawthorn
Snowcap Indian Hawthorn forms a very dense, neat, symmetrical and rounded mound. It is prized for its naturally uniform shape. The foliage has oval, dark green and leathery leaves. The color is very consistent, though the new growth can have a reddish flush. The foliage often bronzes slightly during severe cold snaps. Clusters of fragrant, pure white, star-shaped flowers bloom profusely in mid-spring. The name 'Snowcap' refers to the blanket of white flowers. Small, dark blue/black berries follow the flowers, providing food for birds.
