Golden Sword Yucca is a striking evergreen perennial known for its luminous variegation and architectural presence. It is a tough, reliable plant that provides consistent color and structure to the landscape throughout all four seasons. The leaves are sword-shaped with a broad, sunny-yellow stripe running down the center, framed by deep green margins. A distinguishing feature of this cultivar is that the leaves are relatively soft and pliable, often arching gracefully toward the ground at the tips. In mid-summer, a sturdy, woody stalk rises from the center of the rosette, reaching heights of 5 to 6 feet. It is topped with a large panicle of fragrant, nodding, bell-shaped creamy white flowers.
